Introduces the foundation and practice of social entrepreneurship including techniques to empathize, understand, and defines the root cause for social and environmental inequities. It explores use of design/system thinking skills and the entrepreneurial mindset for remediating social/community/sustainability issues. Functional areas of study include service/product concept development, market validation, financial sustainability, social/environmental impact and its measurement, innovation and leadership, and, techniques and tools to fund startup social enterprise/sustainable ventures.
