This course will introduce students to the vocabulary and important components of Homeland Security. We will discuss terrorism from a historical perspective and in the modern context as it relates to the formation and mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The student will become familiar with various terrorist organizations and the similarities these organizations have to one another. We will examine laws and regulations that are significant to DHS. We will examine the most critical threats confronting Homeland Security.Acceptance to the program required to take the course.
