This course focuses on pathophysiology for general healthcare managers. Topics include an introduction to principles of general mechanisms of disease including etiology, prognosis, signs, and symptoms; relationship of normal body functioning to the physiologic changes that occur as a result of illness; and rationale for common therapies, laboratory tests, and drugs for selected diseases.Prerequisite: BIOL 2010 with a grade of “C” or higher. Co-requisite(s): BIOL 2020. If student has had BIOL 2020, a grade of “C” or higher is required. Student must maintain a grade of “C” or higher in order to progress in program.Not part of a Tennessee Transfer Path
