This course covers essential construction management issues as related to the management and organizational practices as well as legal and ethical topics found in industry. Construction law and risk management is discussed through the exploration of contracts, insurance requirements, labor laws, lien claims, and dispute resolution methods. management topics include company organizational structures, policies and procedures, accounting and budgeting practices, procurement procedures, operational and business ethics within construction arenas. lecture 3 hours. Prerequisites: ETEM 1320, ETCM 2010, ETCM 2640, ENGR 3520 with a minimum grade of C, ACC 2020; or department head approval. Differential course fee will be assessed.
