This course will examine the musculoskeletal system’s response to stress, and how anatomy informs the relationship between the musculoskeletal system and physical stressors. Emphasis will be placed on pathomechanics of injury and how anatomy and structure may predispose an individual to specific injuries. This course will be of special interest to students seeking to enter health care professions that focus on musculoskeletal pathology; athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and strength and conditioning specialists, among others. Prerequisites: BIO 2060 or HHP 2300, HHP 3180 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or department head approval.
