The biology of amphibians and non-avian reptiles with a strong emphasis on morphology, physiology, diversity, distribution, taxonomy, ecology, evolution and ethology. Laboratory includes problem solving and an in-depth approach to the identification of regional and global diversity as well as dissections, demonstrations and field trips. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisite: BIOL 3060 or BIOL 3150 or BIOL 3250 with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. Corequisite: BIOL 4090L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio fee will be assessed.
