The first of a multi-course sequence that will include the female pelvis, both normal anatomy, physiology, and pathology; as well as early and late obstetrics in normal and abnormal development, anomalies, and management of maternal and fetal concerns, from the sonographic assessment perspective.
PREREQUISITE: Formal acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
HOURS:30 lecture and 30 laboratory hours per semester
CAREER COURSE: Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
