Students will build on the materials covered in SONO 2013 to include breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology. This includes normal and abnormal development, anomalies, and sonographic assessment. A basic introduction to comparative diagnostic imaging modalities of the breast will be covered relating to specific anatomy and pathology.
PREREQUISITE: SONO 2013 or RDMS credential by the ARDMS .
HOURS: 30 lecture hours per semester
CAREER COURSE: Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
