      Designed to be taken towards the end of the student’s program of study, this performance course will require the student to show proficiency in Digital Media Skills. The student will work with music and scheduling software to create station logs, ship them over a network to servers, and reconcile them. Students will enter songs and commercial time orders into software, create a short audio & video podcast, and voice-track a radio show. Ninety minute classroom and ninety minute laboratory sessions per week.

Communication behavior in organizations, including networks or 'pathways;' interviewing; group communication; and public presentations will be examined.       This course continues COMM 2020 and 212 in a field setting, including intermediate and advanced shooting and editing techniques. Students will practice field lighting and audio, production budgeting and planning, script writing, and storyboarding. Student production teams will create professional-quality video productions.

      This course builds on concepts covered in ARTP 253 and COMM 212 and focuses on motino design for time based media, and the basics of compositing. Utilizing Adobe After Effects, students will learn to create still and motion text, images, and graphics for use in film, video, and broadcast.
