The management practices involved with the production of swine, beef cattle, and sheep. Topics include crossbreeding, breeding, feeding, dehorning, castration, vaccinating, diseases, internal and external parasite control, marketing and the facilities needed. Students are assigned animals to care for and manage throughout the semester. 2 hrs lecture 2 hrs lab. (formerly AGT 214). This course is a transfer course that may apply as an elective by a receiving institution (TE).
