The student will be provided with the fundamental principles of joining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, welding and cutting proccesses, equipment operation, and safety procedures. The student will develop the skills to safely use ocy-actylene cutting equipment and the skills to use the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process in all positions. Training will also be included in plasma cutting and an introduction to shop fabrication equipment.
