This course examines the use assessment as the initial phase for identifying variables that result in organizational performance gaps; and the utilization of assessment results to identify and implement value-added solutions such as training and non-training interventions. Students learn to identify human performance gaps and to develop and use various assessment tools such as job and task analysis, front end assessment, needs assessment, performance analysis, systems thinking, and other methods and tools to close a specific gap. Prerequisite: MATD 501.
