This course makes extensive use of the tools of algebra, trigonometry and calculus. Topics include the scientific process (mathematical models, inductive/deductive reasoning), basic mechanics (kinematics and Newton’s Laws), thermodynamics (calorimetry, black-body radiation, and the first law of thermodynamics), and conservation laws (momentum and mechanical energy).
