American History II - The United States since 1877. A survey of the growth of the United States as an industrial and world power since Reconstruction: the industrial revolution, immigration, urbanization, rise of labor, Spanish-American War, Progressivism, World War I, Twenties, Depression and New Deal, World War II, Post-World War II era and the exercise of great power status in international affairs since World War II. Permission of the department. Honors course for exceptional students with ACT of 22 or higher who wish to study in small seminar-type class.
