Cardiovascular Echocardiography provides theoretical and practical skills in basic imaging techniques and covers principles and physics of ultrasound for patient diagnosis and treatment. The course also introduces concepts essential to the performance and interpretation of echocardiography, exercise physiology, stress testing and Holter Monitoring. The course focuses on normal anatomy, transesophageal echocardiography, systolic and diastolic dysfunction, coronary anatomy, cardiomyopathies. Laboratory exercises include instrumentation, application, assessment, and review. Lab sessions provide extended practice.
