Minimum GPA:
First-time college student: 2.5 GPA and minimum of 17 ACT composite. Transfer applicants: a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 & must have at least a 2.0 GPA in their last full-time college semester (or last 12 hours for part-time students). Students who do not meet these requirements may be admitted through the Holistic Review process. **Applicants for the Computer Science, Engineering, and Math programs have additional admissions requirements that must be met.**
Official Transcripts:
To accurately evaluate you for admissibility, you will need to submit official transcripts from your diploma-granting high school or GED and all colleges in which you were ever enrolled, including transcripts from dual-credit courses and/or AP exams.
SAT/ACT Scores:
First-time college students 21 years of age or older are not required to submit ACT/SAT scores for admission, but must earn sufficient scores on the ACCUPLACER placement exams.
Application Fee:
There is a $25 non-refundable application fee for first-time applicants. Former TTU students are not required to pay the application fee to re-enroll.
Associates Degree Required:
No. Transfer students who have earned a minimum of 15 credits from one community college are eligible to complete their associate's degree using Tennessee Tech credits through the Reverse Transfer program. Ask for more information.
Other Requirements:
A few programs at Tennessee Tech have additional admission requirements. If you meet the general admission requirements, but not the program specific requirements, you will be admitted to the university.
