Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is a nationally ranked liberal arts based university with a 120-acre campus just 30 minutes east of Knoxville near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our faculty mentor and educate students in order that you may reach your full potential. With our small class sizes, professors know you and assist you in your educational pursuit in a caring, Christian community integrating faith and learning. The University offers 50 undergraduate majors including 3 degree completion programs and 11 graduate degree programs and participates as a "Tennessee Promise" school. Depending on the academic program, students study on campus, on-line, or at our Pellissippi State Community College location in Strawberry Plains.
