Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is a nationally ranked liberal arts based university with a 120-acre campus just 30 minutes east of Knoxville near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The University offers 50 undergraduate majors including 3 degree completion programs and 11 graduate degree programs and participates as a "Tennessee Promise" school. Depending on the academic program, students study on campus, on-line, or at our Pellissippi State Community College location in Strawberry Plains.
