This course will address fundamental educational concepts including instructional strategies, modification/accommodations, lesson planning, classroom management and organization and implementation of technology. This course will provide the foundation needed to design lessons that focus on individual students. Instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, engaging students, lesson planning and integration of technology would be the general focus of the course. The course content would support the beginning CTE teacher as he/she leads instruction as a first-year teacher. The course will focus on managing the modern CTE classroom emphasizing the diverse CTE student population, common classroom management practices in the 21st Century CTE classroom, common instructional strategies for the CTE classroom, understanding and inclusion of the exceptional learner in the CTE classroom, dispositions, ethics, and professionalism for the CTE Instructor, Technology Integration into the CTE classroom and common technology uses in the modern CTE classroom will be modeled and integrated into the delivery of the course. Only open to CTE students completing the Occupational licensure program.
