    • An introduction to the academic study of comparative religion. Topics include basic elements of religion; strategies for recognizing patterns of similarity and divergence among different religions; and the origins, development, and fundamental beliefs and practices of Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Jainism, Sikhism, Shinto, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, among others. Prerequisite(s): Level 2 placement in English or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 1010 and ENGL 0815; Level 2 placement in Reading. Note: PHIL 2200 meets the general education requirement for Humanities.
