    • Prerequisite(s): SURV 1550 or permission of instructor. Principles of field data acquisition, measurements of distance, angle, and elevation using tapes, total stations, and levels. BAsic surveying computations for elevations, directions, traverse closures, areas, magnetic directions, preparation of topographic maps from radial measurements, basic measurement error theory. Lectures and field labs.
