TN Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs)

There are 24 TCATs across the state providing a wide range of rigorous, one to two year, technical/occupational education programs with high employment placement rates. To learn more about TCATs you can visit The Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology page.

Public Community Colleges

Affordable, convenient and personal, Tennessee offers a system of 13 community colleges with more than 65 locations across Tennessee, offering more than 4330 academic programs to prepare you for success.

With nine universities located across the State, with campuses and facilities dedicated to education, research, and public service, you can be sure to find the degree option that is right for you.

Tennessee’s Independent Colleges and Universities

Tennessee’s independent, private, non-profit colleges and universities offer two- and four- year degrees, as well as graduate programs in a traditional arts and science curriculum, as well as specialized fields such as medicine, dentistry, optometry and fine arts.
